PhilArt Polynucleotides
PhilArt Polynucleotides are an injectable biostimulator aesthetic treatment designed to stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin, and typically used to address signs of ageing such as wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin.
PhilArt Polynucleotides promotes hydration, promotes free radical scavenging and increases viability and number of fibroblasts which in turn trigger the body’s natural collagen production. This helps to improve skin structure and overall elasticity with reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Which areas can be treated?
Polynucleotides can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Used as a standalone therapy to improve the quality and lustre of the skin in younger patients as a preventative treatment and for more mature patients through improved skin structure and overall elasticity and remodelling skin areas with high fibrous content (striae and scars).
PhilArt Eye is a dedicated treatment specifically for the peri-orbital (surrounding eye) area to look more refreshed and less tired, addressing wrinkles, crows feet and tightening of the thin periocular skin.
How does the treatment work?
Polynucleotides work by stimulating cell regeneration. PhilArt is an injectable gel consisting of long-chain polynucleotides (PN). Polynucleotides promote hydration of the skin and scavenge free radicals, thereby building an optimal environment for the growth of fibroblasts (cells that produce collagen),
As a consequence, they promote the production of new collagen and elastic fibres, stimulating the body’s own cell regeneration. Based on natural ingredients The polynucleotides (PN) are of natural origin and derived from European freshwater fish intended for human consumption, with full control over the production chain.
How does this differ from dermal filler?
Polynucleotides work by stimulating the natural production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid within the skin, rather than injecting hyaluronic acid directly. This accounts for its excellent safety profile and allows it to be used in delicate areas such as the surrounding eye area, which is associated with complications from dermal filler treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
A course usually consists of 3 treatments, 2-3 weeks apart. Results typically appear 4-6 weeks following treatment and increase over time as the treatment continues to stimulate production of collagen and elastin. A course of treatments may last up to 6-12 months, however this is different for every patient.
